Next up: lunch at DGS Delicatessen with my friend Juliana on 12-20-2016. I somehow didn’t put together that this was a sit down restaurant–maybe the “delicatessen” threw me off?– so we didn’t have a reservation. They only had space at the bar but it was actually quite comfortable and the bartender was friendly. Ialso absolutely loved the decor–yay white subway tile! The whole place had a very hip vibe, but not overly hipster.

The food was delicious. The Reuben was good without being overly greasy. I’d tease my mom if she said this but it was really beautiful pastrami. I even ate all the coleslaw and I never eat the coleslaw.
Classic Reuben (swiss, No 1 Sons sauerkraut, russian dressing, rye toast, housemade pickle, coleslaw). I mean look at that thing! That’s Reuben perfection.
I cannot wait to go back and try all the things. I definitely need more latkes in my life!
