I had lunch here with my girlfriends Katie and Juliana on 2-9-2017. I didn’t realize beforehand that this was part of the same restaurant group as Rasika but it was fun to compare back to back. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, if not a little dated. The staff was once again outstanding and the food was delicious.

Crispy kale chat (date-tamarind chutney, onion, yogurt). Despite being the exact same sauce, this was somehow better than the crispy spinach at Rasika. The sauce was more tamarind forward and less taco dip tasting this time. The waiter suggested the spinach and kale might absorb flavors differently. Whatever the case, I’d get this again.
Club thali (fish curry, chicken makhni, Kashmiri lamb, palak, dal, yogurt sauce, lemon cashew rice). This is the stuff my Indian food dreams are made of. I loved getting to try a little of everything. The fish (grouper) was a little spicy but delicious. With the lamb I could really taste the cumin, coriander and saffron. The chicken was buttery and melted in my mouth. The palak was a little flavorless but the dal–whoa–so rich, so good. The yogurt sauce reminded me of tzatziki and the lemon cashew rice paired nicely with it all. Also can this be my new Seder plate?
Rasbri (Indian milk pudding, pistachio, silver leaf). This was like rice pudding meets milky oatmeal and very good.
Another amazing Indian meal. While the space did feel a little dated it also felt good in a traditional, old school elegance kind of way. I don’t know if I would even want it to change. And once again I just loved the service!
